Markets
The monthly Bollywood Beach Bazaar market is a popular attraction. It is held at the Woolgoolga beach reserve twice a month on the first and fourth Saturday. You can enjoy a diverse range of art, bric-a-brac, hot food and craft stalls. If you are lucky enough to be in Woolgoolga over the Easter weekend you can catch the ‘curry festival’ which showcases the town`s Indian heritage, with an entertaining program of food, wine, music and dance.
Beach
In addition to Safety Beach, located almost on your doorstep, you’re spoilt for your choice of beaches in the Woolgoolga area, with multiple swimming and surfing options available. The Main Beach has seasonal lifeguard patrols, while Back Beach, Sandy Beach, Emerald Beach, Mullaway and Arrawarra are all within driving distance, A day-trip to Red Rock is also worth the effort.
Golf Course
The Woolgoolga Golf Club is a challenging 18-hole golf course located in Safety Beach Drive. The course is a five minute walk from Sea Dream at Safety or drive yourself there in less than two minutes. A driving range is also available. Your round also comes with a promise – it’s free if you don’t spot a kangaroo. The Coffs Harbour Shire also boasts a number of championship courses including the internationally acclaimed Bonville.
Walking trails
Woolgoolga and its surrounding region offer the perfect outdoor environment to enjoy a variety of walking trails. Safety beach is one of regions best entry points to the Solitary Islands Marine Park. The Solitary Islands Marine Park is the first marine park established in NSW. It stretches over 75 km from Mutton Bird Island located in Coffs Harbour to the Sandon River in the north and includes the inshore and offshore islands seen from Woolgoolga Headland.

Coffs harbour
Located 20 minutes south of Woolgoolga, Coffs Harbour is a subtropical city situated between the dense rainforest hills and clear blue oceans. It is a modern city with a small town atmosphere and a great hub from which to explore the vast selection of attractions.
Bellingen
Bellingen is known for its laid back nature, horse riding trails, arts, culture and waterfalls at the “Promised Land”. It offers an abundance of unique cafes, boutique stores, vintage furniture stores and friendly faces. There are many festivals held within Bellingen and one of the most famous is the jazz festival.
